I’ll launch a “Shop Local” campaign to encourage residents to support small businesses. This includes creating a directory of local shops and restaurants to highlight what we have right here in our district.
I’ll create a “Local Business Fund” to provide grants for startups and small businesses in our area. Additionally, I want to host job fairs that connect local talent with businesses looking to hire.
I believe in preventative measures. I’ll push for funding youth programs that offer mentorship and job training, helping young people find constructive paths instead of turning to crime.
I want to launch a “Volunteer Wilmington” initiative that connects residents with local nonprofits and community projects. By organizing volunteer days and creating a platform for sharing opportunities, we can strengthen our community bonds and empower residents to make a difference.
I want to implement community-based safety programs that involve residents in creating solutions. I’ll organize regular meetings with local law enforcement to discuss concerns and share ideas directly from the community.
